Line Pipe

API 5L pipeline pipe is a specialized steel pipe produced according to the API SPEC 5L standard of the American Petroleum Institute. It is widely used for long-distance transportation of oil and natural gas, ensuring safe and stable operation of pipeline networks under high pressure and complex working conditions.

The standard is divided into two levels: PSL1 and PSL2. PSL2 has stricter requirements and is suitable for key scenarios such as high pressure, corrosion, and low temperature. Steel grades range from A25 and Gr. B (L245) to high-strength grades such as X70 and X80, corresponding to different yield strengths and suitable for different pressures and environments.

The products are mainly divided into two categories: seamless pipes and welded pipes. Seamless pipes have high pressure and are used for critical pipe sections; Welded pipes (ERW, LSAW, SSAW) have high efficiency, excellent cost, and are suitable for various pipe diameters. The specifications cover an outer diameter of approximately 10.3mm to 2000mm or more and a wall thickness of 1.7mm to 50mm or more. Commonly used sizes are 6m and 12m, and can be customized to meet various pipeline engineering needs.
